Laura’s home is located in Uscio, Italy. The neighborhood, made up of historic houses, is inhabited all year round and is also extremely quiet as it is not crossed by any driveway.

At 9 km away it is possible to reach Recco, a commercial center where you can go shopping but above all the self-proclaimed capital of Ligurian gastronomy. Famous above all for the Recco focaccia with cheese, the pansoti with walnut sauce and trofie with pesto, as well as of course the good fish. There are many events, all linked to gastronomic traditions: on the weekend after Easter, the focaccette festival is held in the hamlet of Megli; the last Sunday of May the focaccia festival takes place in Recco, with distribution of simple focaccia and cheese. During the year, the restaurants always organize themed and always very interesting initiatives. Finally in Recco takes place the Fire Festival, on 7 and 8 September in honor of the Madonna del Suffragio, and is characterized by fireworks on the sea and fires of ancient mascoli (Ligurian mortars) organized by the different city districts with food stands.

Camogli 12 km towards Mare Recco, an enchanting village characterized by high slab houses in bright colors, immersed in a magnificent natural setting. Relaxation, culture, lake and good food all this is the village of Camogli.

Portofino, is the most famous and prestigious town in Liguria, known for its clubs and dehors overlooking the fashionable square, full of elegant shops. It is possible to visit the suggestive Castello Brown, surrounded by a Mediterranean garden with flowers, rose gardens and pergolas, accessible via the Ascent to the Church of San Giorgio towards the peninsula and the lighthouse.
